Victor Goldbloom Remembers Life as a Jewish Student at McGill During the Second World War

Listen to pediatrician and politician Victor Goldbloom (1923-2016) as he reminisces about his time at McGill during the war, and both the discrimination and reform he experienced as a Jewish student there. Among other things, Victor Goldbloom was Quebec's first Minister of the Environment (1973-1976), Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs (1973-1976), the CEO of the Canadian Council of Christian and Jews (1979-1987), and Canada's Commissioner of Official Languages (1991-1999), as well as previously working as a pediatrician and teaching at McGill University (1950-1970).
